Technology is used everyday. There are many different types of technology, for example, cell phones, computers, TV, digital cameras, and many more. I use these almost everyday as well as many more. The one that is most commonly used is my cell phone. Not only are cell phones used for talking on, but they are also used for text messaging, taking pictures, playing games, and even going on the internet. Now that everyone uses cell phones all the time, I do not use the house phone much anymore unless I am talking to someone in my family or unless my cell phone dies.
I use many other different types of technology everyday. The computer can be used in school for things like typing this essay right now, or researching a paper, or doing a project. I use my computer at home for some of the same reasons, but others as well. With the computer, there is also the internet, which is a big thing in technology. I use the internet almost everyday, whether it’s for doing school work or just for doing whatever. Also, I use technology when I am watching TV and movies and taking pictures with my camera.

Web 2.0 began as a result of the dotcom crash of 2000. What it was was a new way to try to promote the use of the internet. With this new web 2.0, many new web sites were being created that did not look like the old sites. The new websites were much more improved than before. Web 2.0 is a creation of new web sites that are more advanced in applications and technology. Because of this, it is supposedly easier for people to find some information and search the web. The web can be used as a platform in different many ways. Some people believe that it is a result of this web 2.0. What this actually means is there are websites that you can go to that are actual programs or databases. You no longer need to buy programs and install them to your computer. Rather, you only have to go to a website and it all be right there. Web democratization is also a result of web 2.0. It is all of the different ways that people contribute using the internet. Now, people don't have to just view things they may find on the internet, but now they can interact and contribute by putting things on the internet themselves.

The Timex Sinclair 1000 was an important step for the invention of the computer. This model was the first computer produced by the Timex Corporation and the Sinclair Research in 1982. When it was first launched, it cost only 99 dollars and within the first year, over 600,000 models were sold. The Timex may have seemed like a good idea at the time, being the first affordable home computer, but it was only a single circuit board with only 4 IC chips.
The Commodore 64 was first released in the summer of 1982, at a price of 595 dollars. DOS, or “Disk Operating System,” was originally created by Microsoft for IBM in the 1980’s. It was a very simple, 16- bit model that did not support multiple users or multitasking. Its original development was started in 1981 and was then released in 1982. The Microsoft DOS had eight major models that were released before the year 2000, when its development was stopped.
Pong was a first generation video game that was released by Atari in 1972. Although it was not the first video game to be developed, it was the first popular one. It was a two player video game that you would play on the TV. Each player would stand on either side of the TV and there would be a dashed line in the center which would serve as a net, as in ping pong. The lines on either sides of the TV screen represented each players paddle and the players would then hit the ball back to his/her opponent.

I think that all of the super bowl commercials were good. However, one that stuck out to me was one of the Doritos commercials. It was the one with the crystal ball. It was a good commercial because not only was it a good advertisement to for the company but it was funny and catchy so more people would want to watch it.
